Staffordshire Police BikeSafe events for 2010.

The Bike safe events for 2010 have now been confirmed with events being held throughout the county, between the 22nd May and 24th July.

The events are still free with limited places available that will be filled on a first come first served basis. They will take the same format as last year starting with a Road Safety DVD presentation by one of our Police Motorcyclists. The DVD covers areas highlighted in which the majority of collisions occur involving Motorcyclists, this will last in the region of 40 minutes.

The rider will then be assigned to a Police Motorcyclist who will go through the initial safety check of your motorcycle, with advice on protective clothing etc. You will then commence a 45 minute one to one assessed ride around the local area, covering in the region of 20 to 25 miles.

On your return to the venue you will receive constructive and helpful advice on your riding and if required information on how to gain further training to bring your riding upto the next level, this will also improve your confidence and riding enjoyment.

I am also trying to organise a late season event at Staffordshire Police Head Quarters, although the date has not yet been confirmed.

Staffordshire Police will also offer there contiuous support for Staffordshire County Council, Road Safety Partnership with  a number of events held throughout 2010 and details can be obtained from there Web site.
