Thames Valley BikeSafe led to my getting my local observer badge with the IAM
Hello to the Thames Valley Police BikeSafe team at Taplow. Many years ago, I attended one of your BikeSafe workshops. This started with the classroom motorcycle safety/theory session and then out on the bike for an observed ride with a police motorcyclist.
We stopped and had feedback on my riding. It was this feedback that prompted me to join my local IAM group – Thames Vale Advanced Motorcyclists (TVAM). I wanted to let you know that after a series of ride outs, I went on to pass my IAM test with a First. Thank you to all your efforts on the day of my BikeSafe workshop, as this really helped me make the effort to improve my riding. However, things have not stopped there and in between the Covid-19 lockdowns, in 2020 I got my local IAM Observer badge and am on my way to passing on better biking to my associates, one of which is about to take his own IAM test and to hopefully invest in a full IAM membership.
Once again thank you and I can really recommend doing a BikeSafe day. You can learn so much and have a great deal of fun too. All the best stay safe and thank you. John Sinclair
