Gold Cup attendees engage with BikeSafe
The Gold Cup took place at Oliver’s Mount in Scarborough during the first weekend in September – and BikeSafe was well represented at the event.
PC Mark Hutchings, from North Yorkshire Police’s roads policing group, was in attendance with the BikeSafe gazebo and promotional bikes, engaging with spectators and communicating the benefits of signing up for a BikeSafe workshop.
The three-day event was well attended for its 80th anniversary, with riders such as Dean Harrison and Peter Hickman turning out to compete in front of large crowds at England’s only natural road racing circuit.
Mark said: “The event was the busiest I’ve seen it for years and the engagement with the public was exceptional.”
