First North Wales BikeSafe workshop of the year
We had great feedback from attendees at the end of the day, after the first North Wales BikeSafe workshop of the year, delivered on Sunday 6 April at Llay, nr Wrexham.
It was great to see a full workshop with so many attendees wanting to understand how to improve their riding skills. After an informative and interactive discussion during the morning classroom theory session delivered by Sgt McCann RCU NWP, in the afternoon the attendees were paired up with NWP Police Riders and Volunteers for an assessed ride – making the most of the excellent weather for a 40-50 mile ride on the amazing road of North Wales.
This was followed up with a debrief, goody bag and feedback to each rider on their abilities.
The BikeSafe Workshop is not a pass or fail environment it is a friendly safe place to learn about the hazards riders face and a chance to have feedback on individuals riding skills.
If you are tempted or know someone that might benefit from attending BikeSafe, further workshops are available throughout the year at www.bikesafe.co.uk/northwales or if you fancy riding in another part of the country (I cannot see why you would😂) view availability by each of Police Forces supporting BikeSafe on our website.
