Collaborative interest in rider safety
How fantastic to again see strong Force and Agency collaboration at British Super Bikes 2019 (Silverstone), all united to promote rider safety and motorcycle injury prevention – with BikeSafe, BikerDown, Highway England, DocBike and VideoBiker all present and engaging with hundreds of bikers.
Massive thanks to Marie Biddulph (Assistant Regional Safety Co-ordinator) from Highways England for working tirelessly to facilitate a first-class multi-agency day and for arranging the Engagement Van, which helped greatly with attracting the crowds and offering an ideal location for live-booking of BikeSafe workshops. Looking at the DocBike and BikeSafe websites in the days that followed BSB, there was a significant increase in site visitors and bookings.
Dr Ian Mew of DocBike commented: \”As a collective force, hundreds of bikers who would normally have walked past the stand really got to benefit from the wealth of experience of those present, but also the education available across the UK which will help bikers to keep safe.\”
