Subsidised BikeSafe for RAF personnel
BikeSafe is a national Police run initiative and the RAF workshops have been endorsed by the Chief of the Air Staff, in conjunction with the RAF Road Safety Strategy, to help mitigate the Risk to Life from Road Traffic Collisions, and to reduce motorcycle fatalities. Air funded BikeSafe workshops are available to all RAF (Regular & Reserve) personnel. In addition, the following personnel are eligible to attend:
- Military personnel (Regular & Reserve) assigned to Air funded JPANs.
- Civil Servants employed within the Air Top Level Budget.
- Air employed Contractors (e.g. HADES, LAFT, Babcock, Serco & Landmark).
To book an RAF BikeSafe workshop at no cost, you will require a valid voucher code. To source a voucher code, please contact WO Gav Sayer (RAF BikeSafe Champion) via the ‘Get in Touch’ tab at the bottom of the page.
All bookings are subject to full BikeSafe Terms and Conditions and RAF Frequently Asked Questions. RAF workshops bookings must be made by the person who will attend the workshop, under no circumstances are individuals to book BikeSafe on behalf of others (personal data and privacy). To book a workshop, eligible personnel will require an MoD email address (e.g. joe.bloggs123@mod.gov.uk).
RAF Group Workshops
Unit supported Group Workshops are available at most RAF stations and Air establishments. To check availability, interested parties should contact WO Sayer via the ‘Get in Touch’ tabs at the bottom of the page.

RAF personnel can attend BikeSafe via any BikeSafe enabled Police Force and whilst there are generally no geographical restrictions, RAF riders are encouraged to book with their nearest Police Force. Some Police Forces also offer private workshops for RAF and military personnel – see availability.
