Safer Bikers in Wiltshire
Aimed to improve your riding
Having bought another bike after a seven-year break it seemed like a good idea to attend a BikeSafe workshop and after telling two other work colleagues about the course, one only having passed his bike test in March, the three of us headed to Devizes on 28th July to attend our first BikeSafe workshop with Wiltshire Police.
In summary, a thoroughly good day out. The morning in the \’classroom\’ environment was both fun and very informative. The observed ride was a bit daunting to start with but once I got into it, that too was really good and the report that I received from the police observer was great, providing it’s taken as its meant i.e. as constructive criticism that is .
.
More confident - highly recommended
I am more confident on the bike and hopefully a lot safer having taken on board the riding tips and suggested areas for improvement. As for my two colleagues, their only mode of transport is motorbike so the course went a long way in making them safer on the road and thoroughly enjoyed by both.
If you’re a motorbike rider, new or experienced, I would thoroughly recommend attending a BikeSafe day near you. Thanks to all of the Wiltshire police officers and the other course attendees who made that day not only a valuable learning experience but also made it a lot of fun.
